Gregory G Hackbarth delivers more than 25 years of comprehensive railway operations and train control systems knowledge, extensive railway signaling and communications experience, and pervasive information technology leadership across the freight, commuter and transit rail industry. At present, he serves as President and Chief Executive Officer at RioTech, a Rio Grande Pacific Corp. railroad company.
Previously, Mr. Hackbarth also served as Executive Vice President / CTO at CTC Inc., President of Herzog Technologies, Inc. (HTI) and President and CEO of HAX Technologies, LLC (HAX).
Greg continues to be an integral part of domestic railway technology-focused business development, new start systems projects and operations and maintenance (O&M) services for several rail corridors throughout the US. He has also served as project-lead for multiple safety-critical train control implementation projects. His industry impacting efforts include North County Transit District’s (NCTD) I-ETMS Positive Train Control (PTC) program and train control dispatching system, Denton County Transportation Authority’s (DCTA) Commuter systems startup program, BNSF’s Train Management and Dispatch System (TMDS) architecture design, development and implementation, PTC-Hosting genesis, and other public / private capital rail expansion programs across the nation. His extensive entrepreneurial business leadership and unrivaled combination of signaling systems knowledge and railway operations experience provide him with a truly unique understanding of current and future rail infrastructure needs and opportunities.
